Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (Chinese Hibiscus, Rose-of-China, Hawaiian Hibiscus)
Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (Chinese Hibiscus, Rose-of-China, Hawaiian Hibiscus) is Rounded, bushy, evergreen, large shrub or small tree with hairless or slightly hairy shoots and ovate to broadly lance-shaped, glossy, dark green leaves, to 15cm long, with toothed margins. Solitary, 5-petalled, bright crimson flowers, 10cm across, with yellow-anthered red stames, are produced from the leaf axils from summer t autumn. Flower colour is very variable in cultivation, ranging from crimson to orange, yellow, or white.
